I was introduced to Ashtanga yoga in 1999 while working as a dancer. At the time I was so excited to find something that not only increased strength and flexibility but also undid a lot of the damage and strain that I was doing to my body on a daily basis. As my practice deepened I began to notice how its effects leaked into the rest of my life and that the physical aspects of the practice was far less profound than those affecting my state of mind. With a dedicated practice comes gifts of calm, peace and inner strength.

I have since found my yoga practice to be a faithful companion along life’s journey and am grateful for my experiences as both a practitioner and a teacher. Along my path I have been blessed to study with some wonderful teachers, including Sri K. Patthabi Jois, who have given me so much. I hope by sharing this practice with others I will be able to share some of these gifts.
